Service opportunity at the Utah Food Bank, we will be sorting food on Saturday, August 3rd Tabor volunteers sort canned and non-perishable goods at the Utah Food Bank 3150 South 900 West, Salt Lake City.  Contact Casey White for more information at (801) 678-5049.  Rumor has it that Casey sometimes brings donuts!! 

“Dinner at Vinny’s” service opportunity is Tuesday, August 13th from 4:30-6:30pm at the St Vincent DePaul Dining Hall at the Weigand Center downtown.  Come and share Tabor’s gracious and loving hospitality with our hungry neighbors living on the streets.  We always have room for more volunteers!  Please see Casey White if you have any questions.  

Worship in the Park, Picnic, & Baby Shower on Aug. 25

Mt. Tabor’s annual end-of-summer Worship in the Park service, with a picnic and baby shower to follow, will be Aug. 25, starting at 10:30, at the Parley’s Creek Pavilion at Sugarhouse Park. Enter the park from 2100 S between 1300 E and 1500 E and drive the loop toward the south end. The pavilion is on the left, near the children’s playground.

Pastor Christine will offer a special blessing for any dogs, cats, and other beloved animal companions in attendance. The weather could be hot – remember to bring your pet’s water dish.

Following the service will be a picnic potluck. Bring a dish or dessert to share. A grill will be available for those wishing to provide their ownmeats and charcoal.
