Dear friends and supporters of Crossroads Urban Center,
I hope everyone receiving this email is doing well as we head into the holiday season. This month's email update from Crossroads Urban Center is highlighting six things we are grateful for this month:
-
Everyone who donated clothing and helped circulate our job listings to good people so that we can reopen our thrift store
-
The many people who showed up to volunteer or drop off donations at one of our food pantries during the government shutdown
-
The amazing people at the Caputo Foundation who have volunteered to match up to $20,000 in donations to Crossroads between now and December 2,
-
Harmons for once again creating the Give A Gobble Program to support our Thanksgiving Giveaway
-
The hundreds of people who have already committed to volunteer at our Thanksgiving Food Giveaway that is taking place next week where we plan to serve more than 3,000 families, and,
-
All of the clergy and lay people who have helped FACE Hunger and Homelessness to raise concerns about a proposal to build a new homeless shelter with correctional elements on wetlands.
You can find more information about each of these things below.
On behalf of everyone at Crossroads Urban Center please know that we are extremely grateful for all the support we have received from people like you this year.
