Construction details for renovating the second floor are moving along.

Some Items on the Projected Timeline for New Ministry Renovation

As of 4-23-25

· The proposed architectural plans have been submitted to us by the chosen contractor, Stonybrook Homes. Kyle Simon, President, is preparing the final budget. Once this is approved and financing secured, we will proceed to finalize a construction contract and Kyle will procure the building permits.

- Saturday, April 12th a mighty crew cleaned out several of the school rooms and offices on the second floor. The next stage for readiness will be to hire a moving company to move the heavy items. These are primarily large file cabinets to the old nursery in the basement, which will become the music and archives office.

·  Palm Sunday, April 13th: Following the worship service the congregation was invited to join in a new ministry litany, review the architectural plans for the second floor and join two New Ministry Team hosts to see the before upstairs and envision the transitional apartment where our Family Promise guests will reside. We also introduced a new +One program where we will join in new way to invite more people in our community, family and friend spheres to get involved as we offer hope to our homeless neighbor families.

· The congregation is invited to help name the homeless family housing ministry by submitting entries via an online form found on the Tabor website.

· As part of the construction process, several +One volunteer teams will be created to assist with various needs related to equipping this new ministry. They will include things like the selection of colors of tile, flooring, kitchen cabinets, appliance packages; and furnishing the kitchen and apartment dining, living and two bedrooms. Signup sheets for these and other new volunteer teams will also be announced via various Tabor communications.

· Mark Elstad has agreed to join Lawrence on Building & Grounds Team to be the Tabor construction liaison in Duane Lee’s absence as he leaves us for a few months to live on his farm in Montana.

· Construction will be scheduled to start sometime in the next month or two. TBD
