A Chance to Spread a Little Warmth

Winter is rapidly approaching, and we know that winter is especially challenging for our unsheltered neighbors. Trying to stave off the cold is a daily struggle.  We at Mount Tabor have an opportunity to help ease that struggle.  In partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Center and their Gift of the Drummer program we are asking Taborites to consider donating new or gently used gloves, both men’s and women’s, to help warm the hands of our unsheltered neighbors. Those of us who have helped serve dinner at St. Vincent’s have seen firsthand what a critical need this is during the winter months and what a difference a simple pair of gloves can be to someone living on the street. We will be collecting gloves from now until Christmas. Look for the collection box in the narthex. Gloves will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul Center who in turn will distribute them to those in need.  Please consider making this part of your holiday giving. Thanks as always for your generosity. Tabor always comes through in times of need!
