Wednesday Lenten Services continue with a soup supper at 6pm, and Holden Evening Prayer at 7pm. Our theme is "Answered Prayer: Reason for Hope." Our Lenten artist is Cassi Wyasket. Cassi is doing her undergraduate work at Salt Lake Community College. Our Wednesday Lenten offerings are designated for Cristo Rey Lutheran Church in El Paso, TX for their ministry and accompaniment with migrants, refugees, and displaced persons on the border.

March Service Project:  You are invited to join us in the narthex at 9:15am before worship on Sunday March 4, as we help put together snack bags for our homeless friends at HYRC.  The Volunteers of America Homeless Youth Resource Center serves as the model for the new homeless shelters that are being planned for Salt Lake County.  Visit their website for more information at www.voaut.org/homeless-teen-services As a congregation, God's love invites us to all be "walking each other home" in all the ways we can imagine. Martha Circle will meet at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 8th at Tabor for Bible Study.

New member orientation begins March 11 Are you interested in making Mount Tabor your church home? See Pr. David after worship. We'll have orientation meetings March 11, 18, and 25 from 9:15am - 10am in the narthex. Reception of new members will be March 25.

OAKS (Older Adults Knowing Strength) luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 21st at noon at the church. Please RSVP to Brenda by March 16.

Utah Food Bank Please mark your calendars that we will be sorting at the Food Bank on Saturday, March 24th from 10 am to noon.

Palm Sunday bread baking We will be baking communion bread at 9am, March 25th. We invite all youth and families to participate. We will also practice stripping the Altar for Maundy Thursday. Please contact Lanea Brown if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!

Tabor's "Faith, Ethics, and Science Roundtable" will meet Monday, March 26 from 11:30am to 1pm, in Room 117 of the Research Administration Bldg at the University. The Research Admin Bldg is a two-story brick building located on the Health Sciences Campus. A large public parking garage is located just northeast of it. All are invited.

Opportunity for Teens to participate in the 2018 Ulster Project The Ulster Project is inviting teens who are in the 9th grade or are 15 years old to apply for the 2018 Project which will be held in July. The Project is a Christian peace project set up to bring teens from Northern Ireland and Utah together here in Salt Lake City in a structured program of fun activities, service projects and exercises to teach trust, tolerance and mutual respect, particularly as they relate to religious intolerance. Crossroads Food Barrel: You are invited to bring non-perishable food donations to the barrel in the narthex for the local food Pantry. They have no special needs at this time. All donations are appreciated. Food is delivered weekly to Crossroads on 400 East in SLC.

Choir rehearsals meet on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm.

Visit our spiritual direction room. Come up the east stairs, and it's the fourth door on the left (Room #10). Stay as long as you like for prayer, meditation, or just a quiet moment for yourself. Please put all books back in the shelf before you leave. You will find things to take home with you as well. Many thanks to Pr. DanaLee Simon for making this available to us all!

Tabor's Solar Energy: Our carbon off-set for January was 893 lbs (the equivalent of 10 Trees). In 2017 our 23 solar panels produced 7.09 MWh.

We will be sorting food on Saturday, March 24th from 10 a.m. to noon.  Please join us at the Utah Food Bank, 3150 South 900 West, at 10 a.m.  All are invited.
