The Cathedral Church of Saint Mark will host the first Creation Care Lecture of 2023 on Thursday, March 9 at 7:30 pm.  Based on an Interfaith Joint Statement of our faith communities in support of the perpetual preservation of Bears Ears & Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments; and the protection of our public lands in Southern Utah and the West Desert as wilderness, this panel discussion, provide the scientific details about how preserving large tracts of lands as wilderness, national parks and monuments sequester carbon in the piñon juniper forests, sagebrush and cryptobiotic soils – and protects habitat for a myriad of plants and animals.   Please bring a plant-based hors d’oeuvre to share or just come as you are.  Refreshments will be served.    St Mark’s Cathedral 231 E 100 S – parking on east and north sides.  Call 801-322-3400 for details.
