Dear Congregations and Supporters of Family Promise - SLC, 

 

I'm sure many of you are interested in what is happening with Family Promise at this point. Let me share the current status of the program.  

 

The Board of Directors consisting of Chairperson Kirchy Burke, Vice Chair Pastor Brigette Weier, Mike Montoya, Tonya Woolsey, Doni Faber, Rocky Cox, Michele Madlena, and myself are currently in the final stages of interviews to hire a new Executive Director. 

 

Hopefully that will be done within the next week or so. After the new Exec. Director is hired, we expect them to begin to staff Family Promise through the coming weeks.

 

The new Executive Director will determine when the program can begin accepting new families and with the help of the Board develop a schedule for the remainder of 2021 and forward.

 

Currently two of the apartments above the Day Center are occupied by families who went through the program previously. There is also a family residing in the  property on West Temple.     

 

It has been a tenuous time as I'm sure you can imagine. However the organization is on stable financial ground after the recent sale of two properties and the Board is looking forward to developments in the coming weeks.
