Report of Funding Decisions by Mt Tabor Endowment and Memorials Committee

 

The E&M Committee met on 7 Nov 2021 to consider charities to support. After discussion, the Committee decided to fund three areas, each in the amount of $2,000. The three areas are (1) donation to support Mosaic Ministries for a winter coat giveaway and other actives inside and outside their facility; (2) donation to support our companion synod in Madagascar with Stephanie Wilson to reach out to the Rocky Mountain Synod regarding the best application of these funds, and (3) reserving $2,000 in the E&M money market checking account to be used for COVID-19 related emergencies.

 

The funds reserved for COVID-19 related emergencies is intend to be a means where by E&M can rapidly respond to a future emergency need, without the need for the whole Committee to meet. The Committee empowered the Chair of E&M to apply these funds as needed, with the Chair reporting to the Committee any use of these funds. This reservation of funds and the authority of the Chair to allocate these funds is active until the end of 2022. Any used funds will be return for general use by the Committee.
