During COVID- 19, there are still opportunities to donate in our community

Crossroads will accept canned goods at the back door. Mon thru Fri from 9-2. Just knock on back door and someone will open and take it inside.

Family Promise has the following three drives, first two use the drop off service.

Donations

(Please contact Alyssa Snow if you can help.)  (office 801.961.8622)

  • Food Drive: Donate nonperishable food items, toiletries and basic home cleaning needs for families in our housing and aftercare programs. Drop-off donations at the Family Promise Salt Lake office in the baskets out front Monday – Friday between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Diaper Drive: Donate diapers & pull-ups (all sizes, genders, brands) for families in our shelter, housing, and aftercare programs. Drop-off donations at the Family Promise Salt Lake office in the baskets out front Monday - Friday between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Housing & Utilities Support: Families currently in our housing programs will need additional financial support to help ends meet in the coming months as the shelter in place directives lift. Many of our families are already on the low-income spectrum and have lost wages or jobs through the course of this. Our goal is to always keep families housed and at home and provide prevention services that will keep them out of homelessness. If you are able and would like to contribute financial support, you can do so online, or by mailing a check to: Family Promise Salt Lake, 814 W 800 S, SLC, UT 84104. Every little bit helps.

MT Tabor serves meals June 29, July, 1 and July 3. Hopefully we’ll be serving as we use to but if not:

The meals can be dropped off at the host church. We would bring the food to the door, call or ring bell and guests will come to door to get the food.

This is also a possibility for right now, but you would need to call the office number listed above to determine where the guests are housing currently.

The volunteers are more than welcome to bring the meals in and visit with the guest if they so choose, respecting the safe distance directive and what is comfortable for the volunteers.

If I hear of host churches in need of meals, due to cancellations, I will send out emails to Tabor members.

Thanks, Stay Healthy, Hopeful and “Find the Gift” in all of this COVID-19 time.
