DanaLee Simon.  Retreat activities will include learning about the three doorways into the practice of Self-Compassion, building community, expressing yourself in body, mind, and spirit, taking in Nature, and being immersed in the gift of loving yourself in the way God has intended for you since the very beginning! Registration is now full.    Pastor DanaLee is happy to receive any questions you may have.  Her e-mail address is D_Lo777@hotmail.com.

Tabor Yard Sale (It takes a congregation to host a successful church yard sale!)

Huge thanks from the organizers to everyone who donated, help spread the word, and came to shop, and especially to all those who volunteered hours of hard labor to pull it all together and clean up afterward. The sale netted $2,448, which will be split among Pastor DanaLee’s upcoming retreat, the Mt. Tabor scholarship fund, and the church music program. As for the things left unsold at the end of the day, volunteers from Mosaic Interfaith Ministries came and picked them up for distribution to low-income immigrant families and refugees. All in all--just, wow!

Update: Narthex Roof and HVAC

The rooftop heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit that controls temperatures in the narthex has been replaced, and contractors will arrive in October to install new insulation and liner on the narthex roof. They will be able to perform the work without removing the solar panels, and new rooftop will be white in color to reduce summertime energy usage.

Both the HVAC and the roof are original installations from when the addition was built in the mid-1990s. The $25,000 cost of the two projects has been fully covered by Mt. Tabor’s Endowments and Memorials (E&M) funds. Thanks go to the E&M Committee and to Ron Stone, Harry Heightman, Dan Wall, Duane Lee, Rodger Cochran, Dean Hansen, and Bruce Palenske for soliciting and reviewing bids and for supervising the work.
